Male in the Pirates

This morning when I woke up I was greeted by a very bright day and when I took my book to read, I was able to come across a very familiar line that made me think about my parents. Quoting Proverbs 30:18-19 it says, “There are three things that amaze me—no, four things that I don’t understand: how an eagle glides through the sky, how a snake slithers on a rock, how a ship navigates the ocean, how a man loves a woman. My parents are very opposite when it comes to personality, but because of the love they have for each other, they still get along well. My father is laid back, doesn’t want to dip his finger, very cautious and doesn’t decide things right away, while my mother is the exact opposite of those qualities.   Nobody ever thought that they will end up together, but because my father was a very loving person, he did everything to have my mother and create their own family. My mother on the other hand was very understanding and patient about my father that she accepts him and all his weaknesses and strengths. My dad snores whenever he sleeps especially when he was exhasusted that he would make a very loud noise; one night, my sister went to a trip and so I slept in my parent’s room. My father snores so loud with a whistling sound like of a traffic enforcer maintaining an organized flow of cars at the street. I was so distracted I was not able to sleep but my mother did not bother my father to stop snoring, she too slept calmly. I know that my parents also have weaknesses and flaws in their personal lives, but as parents and as husband and wife, I can see that they do love each other and I am so proud to have them as parents.
