The Force’s Blade

Last Wednesday on my way to work, winter has just started to kick in, from the aged care facility I work with that will take me two hours to reach home, and during winter I usually have problem with managing the slippery icy road, not to mention that my two hours would stretch to two and a half just to arrive safely to my destination, I noticed there were cars lining up in a snail pace traffic, ambulance could be heard and police are manning the traffic, upon the arrival of the ambulance two paramedics were there to attend to the old man inside the car, traffic has been slowing all of us down, I knew one of the attending paramedics, she was in my emt training group last year who always wear funny t shirt, then I knew that the old man was in good hands and will do fine.   We spent about fifty to three hundred and fifty hours of intermediate emt training, the paramedic I saw earlier actually was my buddy during the emt training class I attended, this takes longer than the basic training I underwent, medications, operating defibrillator machines, IV fluids were taught, we also have written and practical exams, my buddy is now a paramedic, she eventually finished the paramedic level of the emt training, I on the other hand still has to go to that level, but for the meantime I am busy myself on the aged care facility I work with. I got only ten minutes to prepare myself before the time and the weather outside has been getting colder too so as I arrived the aged facility, I hurriedly went inside the building, actually, the lobby of the building was full, so I heard that the old man who had an accident on the road was Mr. Okina, he is one of the elderly resident here.
