Wet Fire

Are facebook ads for free or not, is that how they make money, because the site is for free, and it is the number one social networking site in the entire world and the number one source of photos,information, contact details of people that you want to stalk online. Almost everyone I know has facebook, including my parents, my friend’s parents and their grandparents and even the poorest citizen in a third world country has facebook. With a blink of an eye, it spread like a wildfire, the next thing that happened everyone is on facebook. There had been to many fights that started in facebook, and carried on to personal encounters, so I am not sure if this quick spread is a good thing or bad.   Background checks done by companies, now utilize facebook to check on their employees. People put up photos of themselves doing illegal stuff like smoking a joint or posting photos of them in a cinema, and forget that on the same day they called their office because they got sick and could not report for work, how stupid is that. Putting up rants about how awful a certain person is or how desperate they are about their situation every minute of the day is something I do not understand. Online selling and marketing is one of the biggest trend in facebook, they utilize their contact list by sending each and everyone updates about their product, I wonder if it works. Privacy has lost it’s meaning the moment facebook stepped into this world, and everything is now online and for everyone to access and have a look. I have yet to discover the advantages that facebook brings to every person.
