With so many advancements in technology, it has provided us the opportunity to learn more not only of how life on earth formed but also to explore the future of medicine that will provide solutions to all of our diseases today. The latest topic of medical groups and scientists today is the amniotic fluid stem cells, which is said to be an alternative to embryonic stem cells that even religious leaders are favorable of because the process does not involve destroying embryos. I learned that the amniotic fluid inside the womb when I was pregnant with our first child and knew that it is the key to determine if the baby has high risk of having certain birth defects like Down Syndrome and now scientists have found stem cells here. We will certainly have a great chance of finding new treatments and more advanced stem cell research if these stem cells can be proven to carry very valuable resource of tissue that can be used for repairs or organ engineering.   If you think that the injectable steroids are the best thing that ever happened, then you might be very happy when I will tell you that stem cells are even better because if can alleviate the pain faster than the injectable steroids and it has longer lasting pain relief. I think that we should be in favor of this stem cell research because aside from being a noncontroversial alternative, it also does not form tumors and this makes it very advantageous over the embryotic cells, which are found to form tumors and grow wildly.
